About Us
Where Indian Heritage Meets Conscious Fashion
SILA was born from a dream — a dream to create clothing that celebrates beauty with purpose. What began as a small studio designing custom outfits has grown into a conscious fashion label that redefines what it means to dress beautifully and responsibly.
At SILA, we believe fashion shouldn't come at the cost of our planet or its people. Every thread, every silhouette, and every detail we create is a tribute to India's timeless textile heritage — reimagined for today's modern woman who values both style and sustainability.
Our Philosophy: Virtue in Every Stitch
The name "SILA" comes from the Sanskrit word for virtue — and that philosophy guides everything we do. Just as Sila embodies moral conduct and discipline, our brand stands for:
- Ethical craftsmanship over mass production
- Sustainability over fast fashion
- Purpose over excess
We design for women who want their wardrobes to reflect their values — those who believe that feeling beautiful and doing good can go hand in hand.
How It All Began
Our story is deeply personal. We're a small team of four — a dreamer, her partner, a master tailor, and a craftswoman — bound by a shared love for fabric, design, and mindful living.

Teena Khatri, Founder
- Our Masterji brings designs to life with his artistry in pattern making, cutting, and stitching. His craftsmanship and creative input ensure every piece fits like a dream.
- Our Didi adds her magic touch — embellishments, finishing, and care that make each outfit flawless.
- My husband runs the brand behind the scenes, handling everything from social media to operations.
- And me, the founder — the dreamer who envisioned creating a label that dresses women beautifully while honoring the planet and its people.
Each of us plays a part in crafting something more than just clothing — we're weaving stories, love, and responsibility into every piece.
Our Craft: Tradition with a Twist
At SILA, every garment tells a story — of Indian heritage reinterpreted for the global woman. We work with Indian handloom fabrics such as Ikat, Bagh, Hand Block Prints, and naturally dyed textiles, turning them into modern silhouettes — flowy dresses, chic shirts, and versatile co-ord sets — that transcend seasons and generations.

We aim to show that Indian textiles aren't limited to sarees or dupattas; they can be worn, loved, and lived in every day.
Each collection celebrates creativity and conscious design — from our Zero-Waste Collection, crafted entirely from leftover fabric scraps, to our Hand-Painted Line, where every brushstroke becomes wearable art.
The Women Who Wear SILA
SILA is for every woman who chooses to make a difference. For the one who values comfort as much as confidence. For the one who stands for something greater — for culture, community, and the planet.
Our customers often tell us our clothing makes them feel effortlessly elegant and deeply connected — to their roots, to their individuality, and to the world they wish to protect.
When you wear SILA, you don't just wear a dress — you wear a story, a purpose, and a promise.
Our Promise
Every SILA garment is:
- Crafted with natural, breathable, and eco-conscious fabrics
- Made ethically by hands that are paid fairly and treated with respect
- Designed to last beyond trends — to become timeless wardrobe companions
